The Mudroom Mess Manager
Commissioned for a historic post-and-beam home in Amherst, NH
A newly renovated, expansive mudroom needed a refined, highly functional storage solution for a wide array of outdoor gear. I designed and built custom cabinetry that echoes the adjacent kitchen; matching door profiles, crown mouldings, and a carefully color-matched finish to create effortless visual flow between rooms. A rich mahogany bench introduces a touch of timeless elegance and comfort, while a bespoke backsplash crafted from ceiling shiplap offcuts unifies the space with thoughtful, sustainable detail. Practicality is paramount: deep lower drawers, generous upper cabinets, convenient quick-access cubbies, and sturdy coat hooks keep gear organized and at hand without compromising style. The result is a beautifully cohesive, highly livable mudroom that elevates daily routines and reflects a discerning commitment to craft.
