Commissioned for a lovely renovated space in Amherst, NH.
A complete renovation of the primary suite called for a closet that felt custom-built, not shoehorned into a modular system. We delivered a four-bay, full‑height closet tailored to the client’s exact needs: generous hanging runs, dedicated folding surfaces, and a built‑in six‑drawer dresser topped with a solid white oak counter. A discrete cubby with adjustable shelves keeps shoes and purses organized and visible, while overhead seasonal storage inspired a childhood dream: a hand‑crafted, white oak rolling ladder that provides elegant access and becomes a striking design element.
Just outside the closet, an alcove was transformed with a fitted built‑in hamper sized precisely for the space. Its base echoes the bathroom vanity in color‑matched paint, and the white oak top mirrors the closet counter, tying the suite together with consistent materials and refined detailing. The result is a cohesive, high‑functioning space that combines bespoke craftsmanship with timeless materials: a custom closet designed to live beautifully for years.
